I’m running for Town Council because Cornwall isn’t just where I live—it’s part of who I am. I still remember walking home from school, grabbing a slice at Prima’s, then swinging by Paddy’s for some last-minute school supplies. My first pair of ice skates? Bought at Hey’s. My back-to-school outfits? Picked out at Edgar’s.
This is the Cornwall I love—the one with a thriving Main Street, a strong sense of community, and a place for everyone. I want to help preserve that spirit while ensuring smart development, affordable housing, and a town where people stay engaged and invested in its future. Mary Heed is a dedicated lifelong Democrat and longtime resident of Cornwall. With deep roots in the community, Mary has proven to be a passionate advocate for local issues and a voice for Cornwall residents.
Mary has the ideas, the energy and the passion to move Cornwall forward while preserving everything we love about it. She supports policies that lift up working families, protect our environment and help our small businesses thrive.
Mary is an active member of the Economic Development Advisory Committee and the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. She is a volunteer for Jewish Family Services where she assists our seniors by driving them to appointments and to the grocery store.
